My Story
Welcome, Sweet Love. My name is Caro, founder and facilitator of this feminine healing space. I am so grateful you are here. In this little corner of my website I would like to share a little glimpse of my story with you, and how this all came to be…
Growing up I always felt like I was too much and not enough at the same time. I had a vivid imagination and was very creative and sensitive as a child, but I soon learned these qualities to be an inconvenience if I wanted to fit into this modern world. As a coping method I started to disconnect from my body, and I struggled with a severe eating disorder for a long time. Disconnecting from my physical body also led me to disconnect from my emotional, sensual and creative body. I lived in a survival state for a very long time, trapped in a bubble of perfection and anxiety.
It was only when I was 23 that something radically changed for me. After a few very impactful events in my life, I decided to travel to the other side of the world by myself and let go of my bubble of perfection. To just be me, vulnerably. To experience the world with an open mind and heart… which is where everything shifted. I discovered how healing it can be to connect from a place of openness and vulnerability, both with myself and others. I started to feel my body again, discovered the magic of women circles, allowed myself to be truly seen - and made some of the most meaningful connections I’ve made until this day.
I am a firm believer that your deepest truth is always to be found within the body. For I think that as we move through life, a lot of us are forced to disconnect from our bodies - mostly due to a lack of safety. And I believe it is when we learn to restore that sense of safety, and the connection with our bodies, everything changes… And we start to heal.
With my work it’s always my intention to bring you closer to yourself and your inner wisdom, rather than further from it. I am a firm believer that we should never have to walk this path alone, and that healing happens in safe spaces. When we allow ourselves to be truly seen and held, and allow for the kind of support that does not walk the path for us, but with us - holding our hand along the way.
